Best for: Ultra lightweight performance | Active users | Efficient propulsion
The Spinergy LXL is Spinergy’s ultra lightweight performance wheel, designed for active wheelchair users who want to minimise weight while maintaining strength and durability. With its refined design and elegant appearance, the LXL delivers outstanding efficiency and smooth propulsion.
Weighing approximately 586g per wheel, the LXL sits firmly in the ultra lightweight category – roughly the weight of a paperback book. The reduced rotational weight helps improve acceleration, responsiveness and overall wheelchair efficiency.
The LXL achieves its impressive weight savings through a narrower rim profile and a precision CNC-machined hub. The rim is approximately 2mm narrower than other Spinergy rims, reducing material while maintaining strength through a lightweight double-wall aluminium construction.
With its refined design and elegant appearance, the LXL is engineered for maximum propulsion efficiency and responsive handling. The reduced rotational weight helps the wheelchair accelerate more easily and maintain speed with less effort, making it an excellent choice for highly active users.
Unlike the LX and XLX wheels, the LXL uses 18 thinner 3mm PBO™ fibre spokes. These additional spokes provide increased precision and stiffness while maintaining the smooth ride characteristics Spinergy wheels are known for.
As with all Spinergy wheels, the LXL uses Spinergy’s patented PBO™ fiber spokes, which are significantly stronger than steel while weighing far less. PBO spokes also absorb vibration and dampen road shock, helping reduce fatigue during everyday use.
