Twinset Lite Wheelchair Travel Bag Set – Mobility Suitcase & Rucksack

Australia Wide Shipping.

The Twinset Lite Wheelchair Travel Bag Set is a lightweight mobility suitcase system designed for wheelchair users who travel by air, road, cruise ship or public transport. This two-piece luggage kit includes a rolling hold bag and a detachable rucksack that clip securely onto most wheelchairs. It protects your chair, keeps essentials organised and makes travelling with a wheelchair easier, safer and more independent. Ideal for everyday use, commuting and NDIS-funded travel.

Key Features – Wheelchair Travel Bag & Mobility Suitcase

  • Wheelchair-Compatible Travel Bag: Attaches securely to most wheelchairs with a straight backrest bar (or via compatible adapters). A practical wheelchair travel luggage solution for flights, road trips, cruises and everyday outings.
  • Spacious & Lightweight Hold Bag (55L): Wheelchair hold bag with padded structure, smooth-rolling wheels and robust zips. Includes a transparent internal document wallet for passports, tickets and travel paperwork.
  • Detachable 12L Rucksack: A sleek black backpack that clips onto the roller bag or can be worn separately. Includes a padded 17" laptop sleeve, front zipped pocket and bottle holder – perfect as a daypack or carry-on.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: Lighter, quieter and more compact than the original All-in-One Twinset, while still offering generous storage and a tidy wheelchair luggage solution.
  • Designed for Independent Travel: Keeps hands free for pushing your chair, reduces lifting for support workers and helps protect your wheelchair and belongings in transit.

How the Twinset Lite Works With Your Wheelchair

The Twinset Lite connects directly to most wheelchairs using the rear backrest bar, turning your chair into a practical trolley system. When you arrive at your destination, the rucksack can be unclipped and worn as a regular backpack, while the hold bag can be checked in, stored in a car boot, or used as a travel suitcase.

Compatibility Guide and Adapter Options Explained

The Phoenix Twinset Lite is designed to fit most wheelchairs with a straight, round backrest bar (rigidiser) and at least 25mm clearance between the bar and the backrest.

No Adapter Needed (Standard Fit)

  • Straight backrest bar (rigidiser)
  • Round tubular bar (not oval)
  • At least 15cm of straight bar length
  • At least 25mm clearance between the bar and backrest

If your chair meets the above requirements, you can select the standard fit option and you typically won’t need an adapter.

Universal Adapter

Best for:

  • Folding wheelchairs
  • Chairs without a backrest bar (rigidiser)
  • Non-standard frame designs
  • Can fit just about any manual chair

If your chair does not have a straight mounting bar behind the backrest, this adapter is required.

Curved Bar Adapter

Best for:

  • Chairs with a curved backrest bar

Standard brackets require a straight clamping surface. If your rigidiser bar curves, this adapter provides correct alignment and stability.

Low Clearance Adapter

Best for:

  • Chairs with less than 25mm clearance between backrest & bar

If the space between your backrest and backrest bar is tight, the standard bracket may not fit correctly. This adapter is designed to help with slim clearance setups.

Note: The Twinset Lite is only compatible with the Phoenix System Cabin Bag and System Rucksack. It is not designed for use with other bags in the Phoenix System range.
