Wheelchair Tyre Sizing (ETRTO Guide)

Wheelchair tyres are best sized using the ETRTO system, which is the industry standard for wheelchair wheels. ETRTO sizing is shown in millimetres (mm) and refers to the rim bead seat diameter — the part of the rim the tyre is designed to fit.

The ETRTO size is usually printed in small text on the sidewall of your current tyre, for example 25-540 (25 mm tyre width × 540 mm rim diameter).
