24" Off-Road Wheelchair Wheels
Durable 24" off-road wheelchair wheels for Australian conditions. Designed primarily for 24" (540) wheelchair users. Australia-wide shipping available.
Built for durability, comfort, and everyday versatility, these off-road wheelchair wheels are designed primarily for users running a 24" (540) setup who want a smoother, more confident ride across uneven surfaces without sacrificing everyday usability.
Supplied as standard with a 24 × 1.75" (47-507) off-road tyre, they maintain a rolling diameter very close to a typical 24" everyday setup. This means they can usually be swapped in with no brake adjustment required.
Regularly switching between different wheelsets and want perfect wheel lock position? The game-changing SHIVLCK-AX Adjustable Scissor Wheel Locks make it possible to adjust and fine-tune brake position and tension without needing to remove or reinstall the wheel locks.
Whether you're navigating grass, gravel, footpaths, or light trails, these wheels provide added cushioning and traction compared to standard everyday wheels. They pair particularly well with Freewheel attachments and power assist devices, while still feeling at home around town.
Constructed with a double-wall aluminium rim, 14-gauge stainless steel spokes, and black anodized hubs and handrims, these wheels deliver strength, reliability, and a clean, understated look.
Key Features
- Designed for 24" (540) wheelchairs – standard 47-507 tyre keeps the overall diameter close to a typical everyday 24" setup
- Standard tyres: 24 × 1.75" (47-507) off-road tyres with a small-block tread for balanced grip, comfort, and rolling efficiency
- Optional tyre upgrade: 24 × 2.0" (50-507) tyres available at no additional cost for increased cushioning and improved control on rough or uneven terrain
- Larger 50-507 tyre option gives the wheels an overall diameter closer to a 25" (559) setup than a standard 24" setup (can be used by both 24" and 25" wheel users). The SHIVLCK-AX Adjustable Scissor Wheel Locks can help ensure perfect wheel lock position when switching between different wheel setups.

Tyre Options – Which should I choose?
1.75" (47-507) Off-Road Tyres – Standard
- Closest match to a standard 24" (540) everyday wheel setup
- Lighter and faster rolling
- Easier for everyday use and pushing over longer distances
- Good balance of grip, comfort, and efficiency on mixed surfaces
- Best choice if these will replace your everyday wheels or be used frequently
2.0" (50-507) Off-Road Tyres – Optional Upgrade
- Wider profile for extra cushioning and comfort
- Improved stability and control on rough ground, gravel, and soft grass
- Larger overall diameter, sitting closer to a 25" (559) wheel setup
- Designed for improved performance on rugged terrain and off-road conditions
- Best choice if rougher terrain is the priority
Both tyre options fit the same 507 rim and are available at no additional cost.
