The Spinergy SLX is built for high-performance wheelchair sport and aggressive everyday use. Designed for demanding environments such as wheelchair rugby and other contact sports, the SLX delivers exceptional durability while remaining responsive and lightweight.

The Spinergy SLX is widely regarded as one of the best wheels for wheelchair rugby (quad rugby). It is one of the most common wheels used by Paralympic national teams, rugby chair builders and athletes just starting in the sport.

Durability is priority #1 with the Spinergy SLX wheels, making them ideal for the heavy impacts and aggressive play common in contact wheelchair sports.

The SLX features 24 heavy-duty 4 mm PBO™ fiber spokes, the thickest spokes used in the Spinergy range. This increased spoke size improves strength and durability, helping the wheel withstand aggressive play and repeated impacts.

The SLX uses a radial spoke pattern, allowing for quick acceleration and responsive handling while maintaining the durability required for competitive wheelchair sports.

Like all Spinergy performance wheels, the SLX uses Spinergy’s patented PBO™ fiber spokes. These advanced synthetic fibers are stronger than steel while weighing significantly less, helping reduce overall wheelchair weight while improving durability.

PBO fiber spokes also absorb vibration and dampen shock, helping reduce harsh impacts and providing a smoother ride during demanding play.

Using a 5/8" axle? The SLX wheels listed here are configured for standard 1/2" axles. If your wheelchair uses a 5/8" axle, the compatible SLX R-10 or XSLX R-10 versions are available on request – please contact us for a quote.
